6. Competitions and children’s work

These terms cover product purchases and general website use.

Competition entry, judging, prizes and publishing children’s writing are covered separately in our Competition Terms & Conditions: https://www.youngwriters.co.uk/competition-terms

Those terms explain:

What giving permission means

When a parent or guardian gives permission for a child’s work to be published:

We will never sell children’s personal information and we will never use their work in a way that could harm or identify them inappropriately.

Please ensure you have reviewed the relevant competition terms before submitting any work. Terms and conditions: https://www.youngwriters.co.uk/competition-terms

7. Data protection and safeguarding

We take children’s safety and privacy seriously.

How we collect, store and use personal information — including children’s data — is set out in our Privacy Policy: https://www.youngwriters.co.uk/privacy

Please refer to this policy if you are submitting information about a child.

The name in the child’s online account is how it will be published in the book. If you have concerns about your child’s name being published, you can change this to a pseudonym, initials, or first name only. If there is a safeguarding issue, please call us on 01733 890066 so we can ensure there are extra checks in place.

8. Intellectual property

Everything on our website, including images, logos, text, downloadable resources and book designs, belongs to us or our licensors.

You may:

You must not use our content for commercial purposes without our permission.

9. If things change or go wrong

We always aim to provide excellent service.

If something unexpected happens (for example, a major supply disruption or severe weather), we may need to amend or cancel an order. If this happens, we’ll let you know straight away and offer a fair solution (such as a replacement or refund).

Our liability to you for any loss will not exceed the value of your order.

10. Complaints and support

If you have concerns about anything, please get in touch so we can fix things quickly.

Customer Care:
Phone: 01733 890066
Email: [email protected]

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
