Confused

I sit there,
With my mind all flat,
My brain jumbled up,
Not a thought coming out.
Why am I here?
People's eyes all glued on me,
Weird expressions,
Like this question is easy.

I''m trying to contact
The cells inside my veins,
To see if they have forgotten
To turn on my brains.
I bet they are now
Running about,
Making me dizzy
And my eyes fall out.

Eureka! That's it!
With a grunt and a groan,
They pull back the lever,
What a glorious hormone.
With a loud shout
I shriek out the answer,
The teacher lifts her finger –
Sssshhh!
