Snap, Cackle, Chop

Mary often wandered past the puppet maker's store with the feeling that he and his creepy puppets were watching her. Each time she passed he worked on one puppet in particular; one that suspiciously began to look like her! Her rose-red lips and pale blue eyes were hand-painted carefully as his prized possession, Pinocchio, stared. She occasionally heard him say he needed hair like Mary's for the doll. The final time she passed by, he snapped the puppet in half and Mary fell to the floor, stone-cold, dead; he cut Mary's hair to use for the doll.
