Pumpkin Soup

Midnight! The glass slipper clatters down the stairs smashing into a million pieces. The girl flees from the ballroom and out of the palace. A golden carriage glitters in the moonlight, with six white stallions. The girl gathers up her skirts and steps inside. The carriage sets off, but the girl feels the walls pressing in on her, shrinking. Then she remembers the spell. she pushes out on the orange fleshy walls but it's too late now she's trapped inside the pumpkin forever. Six white mice escape.

'Mother what's for dinner?' Anastasia asks.

'Pumpkin soup.'

'But why is it red?'
