Rejection. Animosity. Revulsion. They enslaved us! They beat us! They slaughtered us! They caged us like animals! Yet we managed to maintain the brutality of patience. We'd experienced the darkest of days in the depths of despair. We didn't want money or power! We craved equality. We'd gone through war, all because of what? We have a different skin colour? Does that make us inferior? Eventually we succeeded and let bygones be bygones, we turned the other cheek. But the real question is, what would they have done in our place? Hence it became a long journey to equality.
