26th December, 1915

It was time, time to go over into the death-ridden place they call no-man's-land. Tension rose and feelings ran high like the shells that killed their brothers. The shrieking of the whistle immediately clutched their attention and their eyes fixed on the foe's trench that was swarming with young innocent men forced to war by their own country. They sprinted, guns blazing, though men were being mown down my machine guns. He still followed the orders from his sycophant captain. All the remaining soldiers were withdrawing from the suicidal mission. Bullets thudded into his fatigued body. Dead!
