The Dragons

It weighs down on my shoulders and back
Clouding my mind and turning it black
Creasing my forehead into a permanent line
Can't sleep, can't eat, I can only pine
I try to laugh but I'm only half awake
I try to smile but it's obviously fake
Each and every break gives me a fright
I cry myself to sleep each night
My red puffy eyes, always blurry with tears
Each second taking hours,
Each minute taking years
I'm surrounded by a blur of people
And yet I'm all alone
Surrounded
Yet alone
Alone.
