Happy Teacher's Day!

Teachers, Heads, Teaching Assistants and all other educators, THANK YOU!

October 5th is this year's International Teacher's Day where we celebrate all the glorious educators across the globe. From Teachers, School Heads, Teaching Assistants and all those who support, today is for you and we extend our gratitude to you all.

Teachers are an integral part of Young Writers, from helping shape our competitions and resources, advising us on our expert panels to delivering world-class lessons to inspire children, thank you!

For teachers, here are some great tips and resources we thought we could share to make your life easier:

  • Check out The Positive Teacher Company, their gifts are perfect for self-care and will help any teacher with genius and original pieces!Join our expert panel. We always need teachers to advise, help, and shape the future and resources we provide here at Young Writers, and getting knowledge straight from those who we're sending materials to is so important!

To join the panel simply email [email protected] with:
Your name
Current teaching position
County school is in (UK only)
Why you’d like to join

  • Follow us on Twitter! Yes this is a self-plug, but we share some great community resources for teachers on Twitter. From handy people to follow to writing tips to use in class, Twitter really is the educator's place to be!
  • Ever thought about podcasts? Podcasts are a great way to connect with like-minded educators who share tips, stories and have a blast! We recommend checking out the Tiny Voice Talks podcast or Teacher Hug Radio.
  • Check out our blog post on top tips for teacher wellbeing. It's a handy little guide to remind you to take time for yourself and how to look after your personal lives.

Once again, thank you to all the educators around the globe that shape the future, create our worlds, and nurture young minds, we wouldn't be where we are without you.
