by Dick King-Smith
Author: Dick King-Smith
Jungle Jingles, contains comical and imaginative poems about animals of all shapes and sizes, from he and she worms to man-eating piranhas, smelly skunks, hippopotami bums and jolly giant blue-whales!
Jungle Jingles is now one of my most favourite books, with its catchy poems, comical characters and fun facts, I wish I had read this amusing and knowledgeable book as a child myself! I enjoyed Dick King-Smith’s writing style in Jungle Jingles and thought this was a fun way to learn interesting facts about animals. My favourite and most memorable poem was about the silent giraffe, I never knew that giraffes couldn’t make a sound, and when they lose their children they cry! I also learnt about the Boodie – an animal I had not even heard of before, which it is related to the kangaroo!
I rate this book 10 out of 10.
