The Sky is Everywhere
by Jandy Nelson
Author: Jandy Nelson
Lennie's sister, Bailey, has died and she's meant to be grieving, not falling in love. Which is exactly what she does. She falls in love with Toby, Bailey's boyfriend. And then she falls in love with Joe Fontaine. Toby helps her feel connected to Bailey but Joe fills her sorrow world with music. All this grieving stuff is getting to her head...
Emily Allden (15)
This book is an emotional rollercoaster. Lennie is sad remembering her sister, then the next minute she's head over heels in love then she guilty, angry, lonely all at once.
The characters in this book are eccentric but loving. Gram is comforting and sweet. Big is outgoing and fun. Toby is kind and Joe (according to Lennie) is UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!
I would recommend this book to 15+. If I could describe it in one word it would be thoughtful. Jandy is an amazing author and this book needs so much more recognition.
Thanks for reading!!
