The Private Blog of Joe Cowley
by Ben Davis

Author: Ben Davis
RRP: £6.99

This book features the blog of Joe Cowley. The idea of writing his blog was to sort his life out. The blogs describes Joe as a teenager who’s really fed up with being the butt of every joke. Joe wants to climb the social ladder to get more respect, but needs to be a different person to achieve this. What makes it worse is he does not like football or modern music, like his friends. His main interests are Batman or Star Trek.

Joe's mouth and brain do not co-ordinate properly. Many of his solutions will be familiar to the teenage audience! Especially those that think they really know it all … Joe's dad gives him a talk on contraception - using visual aids, I think my dad would do the same!

The book is very similar to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid for teenagers and is very funny and detailed. The main character is very good and made me laugh a lot. I would recommend this book, it cheered me up no end!
