The Killing of Kayla Sloane
by Kim Harrington

Author: Kim Harrington
RRP: £6.99

Jade has always wanted to move from the remote, quiet village to the big and bustling city. Finally, when her dad, his new wife and their son feel they need a bigger house, they do just that. Jade has to leave her school, her home and all her friends to go and live her dream life. Little does she know, that her new house is the home of a ghost. A ghost called Kayla Sloane.

This book is extremely well written and engaging. As soon as I picked the book up, I could not put it down. The book shows us as readers, how much family matters, even if they are only half or step family. It shows us that there is no limit to what we must do to protect or family and friends.

This book does contain some quite scary scenes, but on the whole, it is the perfect book for a teen who loves romance, mystery and drama novels.
