Only Ever Yours
by Louise O'Neill
Author: Louise O'Neill
Freida and Isabel have lived in 'The School' their whole lives. Now both 16, they don't have long to wait until The Ceremony where the best women out of the year are chosen to become Companions-their only function to produce children. If you don't get picked your only option is to become a concubine or a chastity, someone who teaches at the school.
Freida is trying her hardest to stay thin and beautiful so she will get picked to be a companion, but her best friend Isabel seems to be throwing her beauty, her best asset, down the drain. Will Freida fight for her future or her best friend?

Only Ever Yours was my favourite book of 2014 for many reasons. In the book, female names do not have capital letter because of how low they are 'ranked' in the world, something I thought was very clever of Louise O'Neill. The book has totally changed my view on how we judge and treat other people and was my favourite book of 2014. I urge you all to read this book as I know you will enjoy it just as much as I did.
