I Am Malala
by Malala Yousafzai

Author: Malala Yousafzai
RRP: £7.99

Malala is an autobiography that tells the story of Malala Yousafzai. Her experiences are told in this, and I came away from reading this with a clearer understanding of how she had lived in Pakistan before she got shot by the Taliban. It gave me a greater respect of the education that I take for granted, as she tells the story of how she was fighting, essentially, for education. There are three parts to Malala's story, and I think that Malala is inspirational. The look into her life has made me think about the situation in Pakistan and what she must have gone through to make her voice heard. It also made me think about how easy it is to start something, as she talks about the Taliban starting with a small radio broadcast. There are discussion questions at the back, and timelines of Pakistan and what happened there. I didn't realise Malala had done so much already, and how that had impacted her life. The book is very inspirational and it gives you an insight into the life of someone who lived somewhere very difficult and who has done so much good. I highly recommend this book, as I think everyone can take something away from Malala.
