Joe is the main character in the book. He is just a normal boy until he makes a wish on an Egyptian amulet. Now Joe is the protector of undead pets and a guinea pig called Flash.

Flash is loose in the house. Flash needs Joe’s help to save his litter from an escaped snake which is hiding behind the fridge. Flash hides in a pile of dirty washing to try to escape and ends up going for a spin in the washing machine!

Flash and Joe always go out together. Flash always travels in Joe's pocket and even escaped on a trip to the dentist to create havoc !

Can Joe protect his mates from the escaped reptile so Flash can live in peace again?

This book was very funny and it was full of adventure and good pictures that we enjoyed looking at. Jamie loved this book and managed to read most of it on his own after we’d finished reading it together.

Highly recommended for readers aged 7+
