Where To Go

Unable to decide where to go,
Tongue-tied, heart closed, lips pursed,
Drizzling rain drowns my hope,
Another day on this grey shore,
The wind hugs my face.

Unable to decide where to go,
I hear the sea calling me,
Calling me to freedom,
Back, back to my Caribbean kaleidoscope,
Warming my bones.

Torn between two different worlds,
I struggle, I suffer,
Like a delicate candle in the wind,
Unable to decide where to go.

Trapped in a jungle of injustice,
Like a bird in a cage,
My words are drowned,
In a flood of malicious gossip.

Unable to decide where to go,
I am enveloped in a cowardly silence,
I am fired with a thousand wounding words,
I am stung with firing arrows,
I am hit with ferocious words,
Fracturing my peace.

Unable to decide where to go,
I long to escape the conflict,
I long to escape to the sapphire blue seas
Unable to decide where to go.
