A balmy, cloudless summer's day,
Inhaling the Padstow sea air,
The salty smell scampering through the sinuses.
'All aboard the Jubilee Queen!'
The excitement gathers like a coiled spring.
'Off we go!'
Bobbing on the waves like a naughty pony,
Spattered by sea spray, stinging your skin.
Dolphins popping cheekily out of the water;
Glistening mirrors, reflecting the sun.
Gannets flying overhead,
Seagulls chattering, covering rocky islands,
The rugged coast, so wild and free.
This says 'happiness' to me.
