The emotion of bittersweet,
Makes you feel heart-warmed.
But the pain of grief attacks,
Against that goodwill.
Doesn't it just feel like,
The dose of happiness fills your body
And places a light smile on your face.
But your soul weighs down
As the cold ushers in the ghost of sadness.
Sweet memories race around your dreaming mind,
Bringing joy and calmness to you,
Like a fuel it lifts you up,
And makes you feel like an angel.
But that shiver suddenly
Twists down your spine,
As your smile vanishes
You feel twisted like a vine.
