Emotion Poem

Suddenly I awake
I inhale sharply
The sounds are scratching both my ears
My palms are sweating and the hair stands up
on my neck
In the darkness, there are unknown shapes
Waves of fear are crashing in my stomach
My mouth is dry like a desert
My heart is thumping like a beating drum
When will the daylight come?
