Palaeozoic Time

I awoke to soft, warm sand and cold, refreshing water. I was puzzled and curious. My surroundings were so different to home. I wondered where I was. I'd learnt about ammonites at school and there, right in front of me, was a strange, jelly-like thing. It was an…ammonite. I thought, I'm not in the 21st century, I'm in the Palaeozoic era!
