Moon

A blind eye peering down from a hooded face,
A diamond shimmering in outer space.
A pool of light in a quarry of coal,
A silvery fish in a darkened shoal.
A silver opal against a cloak of grey,
A white china plate on an ebony tray.
A face of a clock on a dusty frame,
A glowing bulb in the wake of a train,
A lonely tear on a dark veiled girl,
A black screen behind a shining pearl.
