When I was four
There were many opportunities and opening doors
Then I was diagnosed with arthritis
Which wasn't the nicest.
I've been on crutches, in a wheelchair and on a Zimmer frame
And I always seemed to be in pain
I was hopeless and needed to be brave to fight
‘Help, help!’ I would call in the night.
Once I couldn't completely move
Now my dad says I can really groove
I also missed a lot of school
But thanks to my mum, she made it fun and cool.
I can now do things I never thought I could
Or even dreamed I would
It's amazing to feel free
Especially while no one's pushing me.
