A dark roofless hallway
Echoey drops of water.
He stands in the dirty corner, no family, no home.
Lying on an old, battered bench is a homeless old man.
His arms wrapped around a skinny brown dog,
Never been fed,
Curled up underneath the dirty old man's arms
Probably feeling so sad, so sad to not be home with his mystery family
Eating Christmas dinner at a fancy dressed up table.
Through the window seeing white fluffy snow drenching the lawn,
The only window he had was his eyelids
And a Costa cup with a one pence piece
Tears welling up in his heart
His eyes close and never open again.
