Guilt

Guilt lives in the deepest places,
Where the lions and the dragons hide.
Although sometimes he can't explain it,
Sometimes he can't go outside.

Hitting or kicking someone,
Or stealing from a store.
These are the things that make Guilt disappear,
And he won't even shout or roar.

His face is all green and mouldy,
He's the worst emotion around.
Nobody likes him, they all scream and shout,
And only quieten down when he's back underground.

The only way to catch him is to do something kind,
So gently lead him away.
Sunshine and cuddles and calming words,
Will make Guilt disappear for days.
