There once lived a courageous fairy named Silvermoon. Each sundown, she would ride to her secret garden on the back of an elegant dove with pearly white feathers. One evening, the dove did not appear. Silvermoon felt bewildered and distressed. Had the dove taken another fairy? She waited, growing increasingly impatient. Then, at midnight, a shadowy black raven appeared. With a glint in his eye, he promised Silvermoon he would take her across the tranquil sea. Cautiously, she clambered on and away they flew.

When, as usual, the dove returned the next evening, Silvermoon was nowhere to be seen.
