The Candy House

The blood-curdling fear that dwelled inside her, crippled her body. A lady of kindness and generosity reduced to this? As she gazed in horror at the grotesque children, licking their lips, she could not help but wonder what had brought them to the abyss of human nature: cannibalism. Did their parents know? Is that why they left them on her doorstep? After all, where better to leave a child than an orphanage? With all that meat it was fit for a slaughter, but to these satanic youths, it was more like a house made from candy and succulent sweets.
