Snowflake's Journey

Drifting as gracefully as a butterfly, I see my destination. Surrounded, I shimmer in the sun's magnificent light. The wind howls, blocking my descent to the snow below. I fight through it, straining, and start gliding once again. Snow-concealed thorns make my stomach flip but, without an obstacle, I make it down. Packed hard against others like me, I lay and think. I used to believe I was one in a million. Unique. Special. I know I am, however, I don't feel like it. Resting here, in the crowd, I am just a depressed snowflake amongst all others...
