A Winter Wonderland

Winter sprung
Through leaf and tree
Sunset going daintily
Through the branches
Here and there
It keeps prowling everywhere.

Winter leapt
Through sand and sea
But if you listen closely
You will hear with your ear
Something whistling through the sparkling sea.

Winter raced
Through river and stream
White new snow, it looked like cream
Don't ask me why
But if you spy
On the frozen stream
You might just hear winter scream.

Winter dodged
Through city white
Lots of people in the light
Humans spending winter warm
While poor animals have to mourn
Creamy, white, crystal snow
Very soon it's time to go.
