The morning lorries that dumped their belongings in the countryside had departed. Like raiding monsters they spread, rolled and invaded the landscape. People in their remote homes closed windows instantly to prevent hearing the sound. Views were hidden behind heavy curtains, the population devastated by the horrible picture around them. The frightened birds flew upwards when it started. A lonely horse galloped away. The woolly flock of ewe lambs split and hid under trembling bushes. The confused dogs barked, their beloved countryside changed when the wind turbines were switched on.
