Slipping Away

He does not agree or disagree, and cannot talk, but gives pleasure to all and comes to visit every year when it snows. Formed when the crispy white snow falls, he is rolled, pulled and moulded together by parents and children alike. He has a carrot for a nose, twigs for his arms and buttons for eyes and is protected by the scarf and bobble hat on his head. His brother, the scarecrow, will stand forever and ever, but our friendly snowman will stand still until it is time for him to slowly slip away, hopefully only until next year.
