Classroom Nightmare

It's a dark, depressing gloom
Fog is swirling around the room
Windows rattling
Children chattering
A door creaks open and the air goes still
Molten, fiery eyes light up the dark
A glint of light on teeth razor-sharp
A stench so foul
Then an ear-splitting howl
'You boys and girls, listen well!'
The monster's mouth, a sickening grin
Then a tiny voice squeaking, 'Come in, come in.'
In an instant the monster disappears
I awake from my daydream, just before tears
It's my teacher and she's not that bad
