I stood. Motionless. In awe of the wave,
The tide had gone out to the sea, but,
It swept into the land as fast as lightning and with uncharted force,
The hateful water punched into me and dragged me under.
I was submerged and was drowning,
The liquid poured over me, pulling me and
I was forced down into the depths of the wave,
The deep darkness consumed me, held me and I was gone.
I was thrown upon the shore,
The same shore I stood on before the wave
I was there again but no life remained,
The water had squeezed the life out of me and I was gone.
