N o, no, I can see that lone black figure, standing,
staring, watching me.
I took a step back, my heart beating fast.
G lancing into the distance, I see no escape.
H earing footsteps, thud, thud, thud, thud.
T urning to run, I tried to shout.
M y mouth is dry as hot sand, no words come out.
A light in the distance shines brightly.
R unning, running, as fast as a cheetah, through the
E verything quiet, peaceful as day. 'Good morning
sweetie,' my mother says.
