There all around me stood the bright blue sea,
As beautiful as a sapphire,
Until it came straight towards me,
It picked me up and threw me in,
The noise of the waves made the greatest din.
Splashing, crashing, foaming, frothing,
Whirling me round as it dragged me down.
I searched all around me but all I saw
Was nothing more than the sea and the shore.
It smacked me, it battered me, it hit me, it tricked me,
As it lured me to my death.
It was at that point I realised there was nothing left
But the sea and me.
