Night Army

My teddy bear is a soldier,

He battles every night,

To keep the dark entities at bay

And save me from a fright.

We have ceremonies for the fallen

And monuments for the dead,

Who reside within the toy box,

Safe beneath my bed,

Resurrected every morning,

To fight in the battle ahead.

We have camps in the loft,

The snakes heal the hurt,

Whilst guards patrol the perimeter,

And enemies they avert.
