She stood in the middle of the field at midnight
And her elegant form was an amazing sight
Her body was as dark as the inky night
And those feathery wings looked brilliant for flight
But her shining eyes dissolved my fright
Next thing we were flying at a breathless height,
Faster than an eagle and higher than a kite
Passing two clouds having an elegant fight.
I felt unsteady so I held her mane tight
As we glide down to Earth, the sky turning bright,
I awake in bed in the morning light.
