Vampire Angels

It's night-time and the moon is out

Lighting my way along the path

Statues of angels line the way

Faces contorted with sinister laughs.

The mansion stood on top of the hill

When I reached the entrance a bell struck 12

The door creaked open on rusty hinges

Inviting me into my nightmare of Hell.

Stepping nervously with a shivering heart

I walked into an empty hall

Dust prints following silently

Into a room set up for a grand masked ball.

Vampire angels float towards me

Death smiles, fangs making me scream

Reaching, grabbing, pulling me

Pulling me out of my ghoulish dream.
