The Dragon

A heart of magic myths and power,

Stronger than one hundred men,

A beast whose legends tell the story,

Of maidens, treasure and deep, dark dens.

Its scaly hide protects its skin,

Its talons strong as steel,

Its lashing tail, its fiery breath,

The people have to feel.

The beast of which I speak has been

Unseen for many years,

For no man can beat a dragon

Despite our guns and spears.

And now the beast shall roam free,

Like it did before we came

And our small lives in this world

Shall never be the same.
