Prowling, smelling, feeling, hearing,
hiding, watching, focusing, preparing.

She leaps! Her claws outstretched,
her teeth at ready, her eyes aware.
She catches her prey, with one swift paw,
then lets it go, she wants to play.

Her amber eyes watch eagerly,
her prey, which stands terrified.
Then scurries past, it can't escape,
those sword sharp claws and crushing teeth.

After a while she sits, on her haunches,
and gobbles down the tasty mouse.
The she starts to lick herself clean,
and she will sit there for hours.
Just watching.
