Happier To The Core

Once upon my dream,

I was transported to a world

Where there was no more war,

And we were happy to the core.

Once upon my dream,

I was transported to a world,

Where Dad did not march off to fight,

Instead he tucked us in at night.

Once upon my dream,

I was transported to a world,

Where no more bombs were dropped,

And destruction stopped.

Once upon my dream

I was transported to a world,

Where rationing did not exist,

We could buy whatever we wished.

Once upon my dream,

I was transported to a world

Where we do not live in fear,

Of sirens far and near.

Once upon my dream, I was transported to a world Where I wasn't forced to flee, I did not have to be an evacuee.

Once upon my dream,

I lived in a world,

Where peace ruled over us

And it was glorious.
