School For Cats

I went into the classroom and what did I see?
A huge tabby cat sat looking at me.
It was settling down in the teacher's chair,
With big green eyes it held my stare.
'Sit down,' purred the cat, I gasped in alarm.
But all of my friends seemed perfectly calm.
He taught us maths and French and history.
How he played the guitar still remains a mystery.
Lunchtime was strangest - we all had to drink

a saucer of milk - semi-skimmed, I think!
'Now a catnap's in order. I believe,' Teacher said.
We all nodded off, then I woke up - in bed!
