A Freezing Prison

The ringing rebounded off the eerie mist. The door opened, as if dark magic had its grips on this place. The screaming stopped suddenly and all was silent. Trembling where she stood, she stared into the infinite abyss of nothing. A limp body emerged from the distance; it was staring straight at her with eyes filled with fire that raged, yet that failed to burn. A harsh, raspy voice called out to the terrified girl, 'I'm so… cold… ' She knew almost instantly that he did not mean the unforgiving cold weather conditions, but his soul was cold, cold from loneliness.
