Writing a story with an unexpected twist is difficult. Writing a story with an unexpected twist in up to 100 words is the writing challenge Young Writers has set 11-18 year-olds across the UK!
A Twist in the Tale Mini Sagas is a fun creative writing activity, which showcases pupils’ creativity as well as technical writing ability, which has cash prizes for schools up for grabs too! The best school in the series wins £1,000, with 2nd prize of £500 and 3rd prize of £250. Pupils have the opportunity to be published in regional anthologies alongside their peers.
To support teachers with A Twist in the Tale Young Writers has provided free teacher resources in line with the National Curriculum, including a lesson plan, idea generator and pupil entry forms.
