My First Poem 2014 Winner Announced as Seabrook Day Nursery, Luton

Last summer Young Writers invited nurseries to enter My First Poem 2014 and they received over 500 entries nationwide, from which 2 lovely My First Poem collections were created.

The best set of entries wins their nursery £500 of resources and Young Writers is delighted to announce that Seabrook Day Nursery in Luton are the winners! The nursery has received this week £250 of books, £100 of resources from Nursery Resources and each of their leavers this year will receive a personalised Big School Skills Book courtesy of Nursery Leavers Books.

Editorial Manager, Jenni Bannister said: “Being imaginative with their poems really made Seabrook Day Nursery stand out from the rest! Congratulations! We hope this experience encourages the children with literacy activities and helps them on the way to become life-long readers and writers.”
