Personification

What is a Personification?

Personification is when you make an object or idea do something only a human can do.

Examples of using Personification in a sentence:

The moon smiled.

The wind wrapped itself around my face.

Death had come for her.

The alarm clock screamed at me this morning.

Personification is used in poetry to emphasise meaning and description, it gives the reader a reference to compare to.
