Bring your pupils' imaginations bursting alive! Ridiculous Writers creative writing competition lets kids be kids, encouraging them to be creative, imaginative and original whilst having fun and enjoying writing! Adding the challenge of planning and writing a mini saga, a story told in just 100 words, means that you tick the technical skills box too. 

There is an engaging video that can be used to support both classroom and home learning - we can't wait to read your children's ridiculous writing!

[Rules] =>

Only one entry per pupil; there is no limit to the number of entries per school.

Independent entrants are welcome, please provide your full postal address rather than the school's details.

Stories can be written on the entry form or an A4 sheet of paper.

Stories must be your pupils' own work.

Ensure that all pupils include their name and age on their entries.

Mini sagas must be told in no more than 100 words (the title isn't included in this)

Where possible, the school to send / upload / email all their pupils' entries to us.

We’re challenging your child to come up with a crazy combo and then write a fun filled story in just 100 words.

You can either download the free worksheet below which helps them plan their story, or if your child is easily motivated they can just get writing.

To help inspire them you can use the ‘Crazy Combo Generator’ below – all you need to do is press ‘GO’!
