[Tips] =>Bonkers Monsters has been inspired by sport this week (they loved the Super Bowl and Winter Games!); here are some great ideas we couldnât âweightâ to tell you about...
There are 3 questions on box 2 of the 5-7 year-old planning sheet â with the use of dice your pupils can roll a number and use the suggestion to help them. They can of course re-roll if they want to, or use their own ideas.
What is your bonkers monsterâs name?
1. Use a colour in the name
2. Be inspired by the size of the monster: tiny, huge, giant, little
3. Include the name of your favourite food: Banana Beast or Pizza Grub
4. Name it after your favourite person
5. Use a sound in the name: whoosh, rattle, splash, roar, screech
6. Look out the window and use something you see in the name: grass, tree, dog, sky
Where did your monster go?
1. To your favourite place
2. To catch a bus / train / plane / taxi
3. To a place with water
4. To find something...
5. To your school
6. To space
What did it do there?
1. Dancing
2. Play a sport
3. Have a picnic
4. Have a party
5. Make a friend
6. Try something new
Remember, itâs a bonkers monster so silly names, silly adventures, silly activities are part of the fun!
