This fun activity is the perfect way to introduce your child to the easy-to-learn poetry styles of acrostic, riddle or sense poems. There's an activity and PowerPoint for each one, available to download to make your lesson planning a breeze, along with a host of other free resources all in the Downloads tab.
The open theme means your child can write about whatever inspires or interests them.
Crafting poems for the chance to be published in a book gives children a real purpose for their writing, making them eager and excited to write.
Every entrant will receive a bookmark and sticker for taking part, and those chosen for publication will also receive a certificate of merit.
We can't wait to read your child's poem, so hop aboard the Poetry Bus today!
