Rules
To make sure your entries are valid, please follow the rules listed below:
- Only one entry per child.
- Ask your child to write their work (or an adult can scribe/type it), ensuring their name, age and address are included.
- Work can be on the entry form or an A4 sheet of paper or typed.
- Entry must be your child's own work. (Please note on the entry if there is anything we need to take into consideration when reading the work.)
- 250-word limit.
- UK entrants only.
- Free to enter.
- Ideal for 4-7 year-olds, but pupils outside that age range are welcome to enter.
- Copyright remains with the author.

Every entrant receives a bookmark. We award a certificate of merit to all young writers chosen for publication.
(Winners will be chosen from entries received in the Summer Term 2024 and independent entrants are eligible to win. The prize will be sent in the following term. Goody bag image is an example, contents may differ.)
