Celebrate Shakespeare Week between the 16^th – 22^nd March and on his birthday on the 23^rd April and write a poem inspired by one of his plays, characters, or even the life of Shakespeare himself! We’d love to read your rhymes about Romeo and Juliet, sonnets about Shylock, and acrostics about Anthony. Selected poems will be published, and will also be in with a chance of winning a family pass to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Houses!

What happens now?

Our editorial team will read every single entry. Any child whose work they'd love to publish in a book will be sent a letter and certificate. Children whose work hasn't met the competition criteria will have the chance to resubmit their work. Winners will be chosen from published pieces once all the books in the series have been published.
